RVR TEXT5004TFT 5 Kw FM TRANSMITTER - NEW
The TEX5004TFT, manufactured by R.V.R. Elettronica, is a compact FM radio transmitter capable of transmitting in the 87.5 to 108 MHz band in 10 kHz steps, with an adjustable RF output up to a maximum of 5000 W with a standard 50 Ohm load.
The unit is factory-set and calibrated upon manufacture.
This manufacturing process does not require any fine-tuning or adjustment.
The factory tolerances are:
- Maximum nominal output power: 63 dBm ±1 dB
- Minimum nominal output power: 53 dBm ±1 dB
- Gain: Not applicable (the equipment is supplied without a radiating system, which is the customer's responsibility).
The TEX2003TFT is designed to fit into a 3U 19" rack enclosure.
Features
The overall efficiency of the TEX5004TFT is greater than 70% across the entire bandwidth, which is why it is part of the RVR Green Line family.
This efficiency is guaranteed within a range of +0.25 dB to -3 dB (+5% and -50%) compared to the nominal power of the device: from 1000W to 5000W, for example, in the case of the TEX5004TFT.
Beyond these limits, the device is capable of functioning correctly but cannot guarantee 70% efficiency.
This transmitter contains a low-pass filter that reduces harmonic emissions below the limits permitted by international regulations (CCIR, FCC, or ETSI) and can be connected directly to an antenna.
Important qualities of the TEX5004TFT are its compactness and ease of use. Furthermore, the device is designed to Modular: the various functions are performed by modules connected mostly with male and female connectors or with flat cables terminated by connectors.
This type of design facilitates maintenance and the possible replacement of modules.
The RF power section of the TEX5004TFT uses an LD-MOS module capable of delivering up to 5000W with an efficiency of approximately 80%.
The operating frequency is guaranteed by a temperature-compensated reference oscillator and maintained by a PLL (Phase Locked Loop) system.
The exciter reaches frequency lock within a maximum of thirty seconds from power-on.
The TEX5004TFT is capable of operating across the entire frequency band without requiring calibration or setup.
The microprocessor control system includes a TFT touchscreen display on the front panel and an emergency button panel with which the following functions can be operated:
• Enabling/disabling the output power.
• Setting the output power level.
• Setting the output frequency. Work.
• Audio parameter settings
• Power output alarm threshold settings (“Power Good” function).
• Measurement and display of transmitter operating parameters.
• Communications with external devices such as programming systems or telemetry systems via RS232 or I2C serial interface.
